The 2009 estimated population of Dryden is 8,697. The estimated population of the Dryden labour shed area (consisting of Dryden, Kenora Unorganized and Machin) is 16,940. The estimated population of the trade area is 35,000 people (consisting of Dryden, Machin, Ignace, Vermilion Bay, Ear Falls, Red Lake, Sioux Lookout, Kenora Unorganized, Eagle Lake First Nation and Wabigoon First Nations).
